The basic assumptions of current carrying capacities are given in the following sections. If
the conditions differ from the assumed premises, the load current values shall be calculated with
professional software.
The current carrying capacities have been calculated in continuous operation at the maximum
permissible temperature of the conductor.
Surroundings
The ambient air temperature is 20 °C.
Wind velocity is 0.6 m/s and the direction of the wind is perpendicular to the conductor.
Solar radiation is 1000 W/m².
Higher ambient air temperature or solar radiation will decrease the current carrying capacity
of the conductor.
